Ganglion Cyst and the Bible Bumps
June 18, 2008 by nandhoo · 4 Comments
I have seen it in my first year of Graduation, a small marble sized thing inside the skin near my right wrist, Though it never hurt me, i was very worried about that.I thought i should go consult a doctor regarding this and did that.
Doctor after touching the swelling, said it is ganglion and not to worry about that.It comes for those who does repeated thing like gymnastics.Golf players, gym trainers, computer professionals often get this thing. But no idea why did it come for me.
When we asked the reason for this ganglion cyst.He said , when we do more work with that particular hand , a liquid will come and accumulate at the point of joint just above the wrist. He suggested to undergo a surgery. As my mother is very very health conscious about our family , she agreed on the spot to fix a date for surgery.
That Doctor told chances of recurrence are there at about 30
% .we thought positively and i had surgery at the end of my First year.
I was happy that the swelling which appeared awkward is no more there, but as they cut my skin while surgery i have marks at that place even now.
But the bad news is that now i have that cyst, the “ganglion cyst” appeared again in my final year of graduation.I remember the words said my doctor that this may come again and it DID.
i was’nt so aware of this internet revolution of information at that time.Recently i googled out about this and found that the chances of recurrence is 60%.
So my recomendation to those who got this ganglion is not to undergo any surgery,I had come across some info on net that a therapy called “Bible Bumps”, where it says to hit on the cyst with a hard and big book so that it ruptures and drain into the surrounding tissues. This therapy was named so as this is done with bible in those days.
I also seen a post written by Robyn Stubbs in which he did implement this Bible Bumps and got succeeded.

So I am thinking to do that, but i am so afraid!!!!
I have also seen another unbelievable treatment which says that we can get rid of that if we eat two spoons of special sand perday,in 3 weeks time. But it is so costly and i guess that is a fraud .:(

As we all know, mozilla has created lot of hype for its next version of firefox ,it has done a ton for marketing with lessor cost with the help of its countless fan base. They has specially launched a concept called Download Day , which aims at creating a world record for maximum downloads in a single day..they also announced that the download day date as today i.e 17th june 2008.
But the saddest thing here is they did not provide any link to download the firefox3 in any of the sizes they said before,So many people who where freely marketing about their favorite browser software were utterly disappointed now.in most of the countries its already 18th june and the download doesn’t start yet..
its a perfect debacle , and the Download day has turned up to black day for mozilla now
Update
Latest update is that they have mentioned the perfect time and date on the forums inside the spreadfirefox site, which they should do on the main page.
Any ways, now i am a satisfied than before, as per the forum post, the DDay starts from 10AM JUNE17th Sanfransisco time.
SO guys be a part of DDay and a World Record….
September 1752 -interesting

Have u ever seen the calendar for September 1752???
If you are working in Unix, try this out.
At $ prompt, type: cal 9 1752
Surprised??? ?
See the explanation for what you see.
Isn’t the output queer? A month with whole of eleven days missing. This was the time England shifted from Roman Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar, and the king of England ordered those 11 days to be wiped off the face of the month of September of 1752. (What couldn’t a King do in those days?!) And yes, the workers worked for 11 days less, but got paid for the entire 30 days. And that’s how “Paid Leave” was born.Hail the King!!
