Google’s New Favicon: G to g

i wonder when did it happen?, iam searching in google from morning in my office lappy,i didn’t find then ,but when i came home and opened google site from my comp,the favicon changed…Old favicon:

New favicon:

Did you observe anything, they just changed the favicon from the first G of google logo to the next G in it.I donno about you guys, but i observed it on first sight itself..

and of course there is a change in color :).

i think its a work accident:)maybe they made some trials and then undo it!

Interesting thing this Google Favicon thing, but i don’t understand why it was replaced, maeby this is more Web2.0
